Welcome to BCS!

The Barrington Community School is a non-profit corporation which attempts to provide lifelong learning and enrichment opportunities in education, recreation, social and related cultural services with programs for all ages, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.  The school is a self-supporting organization, solely dependent on tuition income, grants and brochure ads, and governed by a Board of Directors.  The Barrington League of Women Voters’ commitment to improving our community resulted in the formation of the Barrington Community School, which was incorporated in the spring of 1976.

Brochures are mailed in May, August and December for our three semesters.  Barrington residents automatically receive a copy of all brochures by mail.  If you are not a Barrington resident and would like to be placed on our mailing list, please call or e-mail us with your name and address.  Due to the high cost of sending out brochures between our regular bulk mailings, we are limited to mailing only to those outside of the East Bay.  However, you will find the brochure at many local libraries and businesses in the East Bay area.

Please click on one of the links to the left to see our current brochure, or to print a registration form that you can fill out and mail to us with payment for any course or trip you’d like to register for.  Thank you for your interest!
